Carne carne carne!!!
Mega pizza for lunch

So heres the huge BBQ we had yesterday. Big family get together for the anniversary of Pablo's uncle Marcelo and his lovely wife. I helped Ricardo (the chef) build this cool temporary bbq from some bricks and concrete. He bought way too much meat and we only ate about a third of it all. I think just about a record for how much i've managed to eat in one day. And after just about everyone stayed up till 3 chatting but I went to sleep.

We filled the tray up 3 times!! Ricardo and Luis
This was a few nights ago in my home away from home, away from home.

Man I love this view!

Its been a month now and i think it feels more like i live here rather than a trip. Its been awesome the last couple of weeks. Heaps of BBQ's and visitors. The campaign has been great and has givin me a break with presentations haha just a bit easier. We went to Chillan for a special assembly day. And Wow it was pretty cool. Met a few brothers and families. That night we were invited to an insane dinner at the Astete's. This last week has been cool coz Pato came for a holiday in Dichato and stayed with us. Out witnessing we had a drunk man talk to us for ages slurring and trying not to fall over. At 10.30 in the morning. Pablo and I put our pioneer slips in a couple a weeks ago and they came back and we were announced in the meeting as regulars!!! It feels good being part of the organisation and especially our little group in Dichato! After the meeting last night we had a BBQ at our place with tons of meat that Pato brought from Chillan. Theres the photo above of me cooking. Today we spent all day cleaning up the cabanas (cabins) getting ready for a whole lot of brothers staying. I'm thankful to Pablo and Jade for letting me stay. So i'm getting a taste of hanging the washing out and cleaning and I cooked lunch the other day but I don't know if they'll let me again. if they want it on time and want it to taste good. And just this afternoon Pablo and I were playing football and I was playing in barefoot like a true kiwi, or maybe just dumb, and I owned my foot on some glass so now i've got a numb foot with stiches in it. I hope its good enough to go out preaching otherwise i'll have to hop to all the doors
.....another BBQ

This house's roof floated up in the tsunami
and chomped back down on the poor matress
Soon they'll be no beach :-(

Skyping back home!!!!

We should have woken up earlier coz we waited for the
bus for two hours. Haha that'll teach us for sleeping in

Lunch break on the beach

Well March!! Announced at the meeting were 17 pioneers! 5 regular and 12 aux. Out of 23 publishers. Awesome! Sunday was country day up the coast, man what a blast. The car is the only car in the congregation so when the lovely sister, Aunty Monica, lets us use it we make the most of it and go as far as possible.  Its seems the poorest people live in the most beautiful places. Lots of planted forest and some super tall skinny native trees. Lots of animals on the roads and had a massive pig come up to us while we were at a door. We were walking past lots of big, juicy blackberry so I went to pick some to eat, thats when I remembered not everywhere is as safe as NZ. I was told about this rat with a huge tail that lets out a stink smell and if you smell it, 1 in 5 people die. Similar odds to when i'm around.  And its all over the blackberry... whoa ok. I have to emphasise how good the food is. I should really start taking photo's of the meals. Can't wait for the invitations to start. Get to see the rest of the territory

Poor snake
11 people in one car? For 45 minutes?

Welcome to Dichato!! So small its

Main road into DICHATO
Steep aaas
Man been on heaps of studies and slowly being able to understand. Speaking's a bit different tho, its pretty hard. Some of the markets in the city are amazing especially in Chillan so I bought a hat from there. It was a must for the sun out witnessing. I'm also getting a fair share of excercise. When there's a choice between taking the bus for a dollar or walking a k we walk coz a dollar can get me a whole bag of buns. Oh yes the buses.... every week theres a story in the paper about one crashing but when you are on one its a cool adventure. Who needs to go to hampton downs for a hot lap?

This is part of Pablo's collection of historic JW memorabilia. 1935
